In early January MOM-SD applied for a Cushman Foundation grant through a process called Phil Fest 2026. The process included a preliminary letter of intent, a second application with more detail and a final round featuring a presentation before the Cushman Foundation committee. All of this facilitated through the excellent support of the Jewish Community Foundation. Each round brought us closer to the prize. Within a week of the final round we received notice that we had been awarded the Cushman Foundation grant. This grant enables us to add needed staff hours, purchase a new van and add a day to our Distribution Center operations. We are grateful beyond words to the Cushman Foundation for their generosity and faith in our program.
