April 18, 2026. Annual Luau was held at Ascension’s St. John Paul XXII Hall in Tierrasanta. Nearly 200 people attended. The evening started off with an award recognizing Rick Kania for his leadership and commitment to MOM-SD. He retired after nearly 17 years of service to Military Outreach Mission – San Diego. A social hour, silent auction, buffet dinner, games, entertainment by Andrew Pena and Makani Kai Polynesian Dance Troupe rounded out a very successful evening. Our deepest appreciation for those volunteers from NMCSD and the Knights of Columbus. Without them, we could not have had such an enjoyable evening.
