On July 11th, 2025 Supporters, Friends, Volunteers, MOM staff & BOD gathered in the hall at Ascension Catholic Church for their annual Luau fundraiser. Nearly 200 enjoyed an evening of social time, contests, silent and live auctions, entertainment, great food and new friendships.
This could not have been done without many volunteers serving as Audio Visual support, food, auction support and more. Barbara Chavez, Executive Director, provided the glue, making setup and operation run smoothly. She is seen on the right with a Navy wife & child.
Live and silent auctions, and contests provided for lively action all evening long.
Skillfully tied together was the great hosting and singing of Andrew Pena with Rick Kania and Patrick Freet acting as M/C’s. Rick is seen above with contest winner Russ Stai. Patrick is seen with one of the many volunteers who came out to support our Luau.
The climax of the evening came when the Makani Kai Polynesian Dance Troupe made their appearance enthralling those attending. Their performance was beautiful!
